Exposed Aggregate Pros/Cons

Pros: Exposed Aggregate fineshes is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Smaller uniformed aggregate creates a very dense, strong and durable long lasting look. Exposed Aggregate weathers well in Canadian climates and is easy to bring back to life if appearance becomes dull over time.

Cons: Exposed Aggregate needs regular maintenance. Ideally resealed every 1-2 years. The surface feels bumpier in bare feet (ie: patio or pool applications) and if the aggregate is over exposed the surface will weather, scale, and flake as it is more prone to damage. Precise timing and attention is required to expose aggregate to the sufficient depth layer.
